Bali e-VOA 2026: How to Apply for Your Visa on Arrival Online

The electronic Visa on Arrival, or e-VOA, is the fastest way for most tourists to enter Bali in 2026. You apply and pay online before you travel, then walk through a dedicated lane on arrival. Here is how it works.

Who can use the e-VOA

Citizens of around 97 countries are eligible, including most of Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and much of Asia. It suits tourism, family visits and short business meetings. If your country is not on the list, or you need a longer stay, a B211 visa may fit better.

Cost and processing time

The fee is about 500,000 rupiah, roughly 35 US dollars. Approvals usually arrive within about three working days, so apply at least a few days before departure rather than the night before. You receive the approval by email and carry it, printed or on your phone, to the airport.

How to apply, step by step

You will need a passport valid for at least six months, a passport photo, your flight and accommodation details and a payment card. You complete the online form, upload your documents, pay, and wait for the emailed approval. Small errors in passport numbers or photo formats are the most common cause of delays, which is why many travellers ask us to file it for them.

Extending your e-VOA

The e-VOA gives you 30 days and can be extended once for another 30. As of 2026 the extension is done in person with biometrics, so plan for a short visit to immigration or let us manage it through our VOA extension service.

Quick FAQ

Can I apply on arrival instead? Yes, the classic VOA is still available at the airport, but the e-VOA saves you the payment queue.

Is the e-VOA extendable? Once, for a further 30 days, giving you 60 days in total.

What if my application is rejected? We review your documents before submission to avoid the common mistakes that lead to refusals.
